Thank you for sharing this story (and the other - I have been reading those reports and following those interviews - beyond heartbreaking and yes, I am thankful that God was so clear ). What she says about "the appalling silence of the good people" is the egregious act that I personally have struggled to come to terms with. MLK is also quoted as saying "our lives begin to end the day we are silent about things that matter." There have been so many people who are silent and so many people who have been downright hypocritical in when they speak up. But too many have been silenced by the need to conform. I could not be silent, because my religious liberty was threatened.
I have learned so much by my civil rights deep dive that my husband inspired. I'll repeat it on LinkedIn this year. Do you guys want to see it on Substack also? It isn't necessarily "ramblings in faith" (though most civil rights heroes were guided by their faith), but it does give us inspirational figures to emulate in times when our religious freedom continues to be at stake.
The line is getting thinner and thinner between the religious and the secular in this age Jennifer. God is calling many different types of people and is no respect or of persons based upon ethnicity, religion, politics, race or even in some cases whether they even believe in him. His work gets done regardless.
"His work gets done regardless." What does it say in Job - "no purpose of God can be thwarted. Job 42:2 (Thank you Reasonable Horses - that one stuck with me).
RIP MLK … a voice snuffed out so early in his life . 🙏
May God bless us with more leaders willing to speak God's truth and foster the spirit of liberty and equality under God.
Wow. Count your blessings through all of life’s troubles Jennifer. This poor woman and her family.

I really admire this courageous and outspoken woman who has endured a tremendous loss. We are surrounded by heroes but sometimes we don’t know who or where they are. https://open.substack.com/pub/cindysheehan/p/what-kind-of-extremist-will-you-be?r=pll17&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post
