13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14
Reading this recent ruling out of Colorado….brings all the verses that I clung to, cling to, flooding back. Finally, a Court dissecting in detail what mandators did in order to justify the exclusion of individuals for their religious beliefs. For those of us who followed our conscience and direction from God, this case is important.

God’s will be done.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8
Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help. Psalm 146:3
We ought to obey God, rather than men. Acts 5:29
I can do all this through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:13
Don’t be afraid. Just believe. Mark 5:36
Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. Psalm 146:3
So that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. 1 Corinthians 2:5
Do not throw away your confidence. It will be richly rewarded. Hebrews 10:35
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. Psalm 118:8
For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Luke 8:17
“So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. 32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:26-33
“But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. And so you will bear testimony to me. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. Everyone will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. Stand firm, and you will win life.” Luke 21:12-19
Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? 27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. 32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:22-34
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has wrought desolations in the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and shatters the spear, he burns the chariots with fire!
10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God that goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22
The Word says: do not be deceived (James 1; 1 Corinthians 3; Galatians 6:7); do not put your faith in the wisdom of man (1 Corinthians 2:5; Psalm 118:8); do not create idols or follow false prophets (Isaiah 44:24-25; Leviticus 19:4; Matthew 7:15; 2 Peter 2:1; Jeremiah 23:16 ); do not turn away from what you learned (Romans 16:17-18); trust in God (Psalm 118; Proverbs 3; Isaiah 40); and the world will hate you when you follow God’s path (John 15:19; Luke 21:12-19; Matthew 10:22). I refused to be deceived; I refused to put my faith in man; I refused to treat Fauci like a prophet; I refused to put aside my knowledge of natural immunity and past pharmaceutical failures, or that we are all uniquely and wonderfully made; I put my faith in God.
Lord, I need this prayer I prayed in the months leading up to my termination again, as I lead into mediation next month. Please help me give this burden to you. Please continue to give strength and courage to those seeking restoration of freedom, whether it is religious freedom, freedom of speech or medical freedom. Please be with the judges, the mediators and the lawyers and give them the strength and courage to follow the law and take courageous steps to restore freedom.
Dear God, help me put my faith only in You. You will direct my path. Grant me wisdom to understand this path. Grant me the wisdom to feel you guiding my way. Guide my words in this moment and going forward. Bless me with a faith that gives me confidence to face this challenge head on, with the knowledge that You have a plan for me. Help me be a witness to you. Help me show strength and grace and be a witness for You in my interactions with my husband, my children and my peers. Help me with my attitude and help me find direction. Thank you for all the blessings you have given us. Thank you for the grace of forgiveness and the gift of your Son.
Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors; And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. In your name I pray. Amen.
Excerpt from my devotion this May 21, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young:
Your mind engages in efforts to take control of a situation, to bring about the result you desire. Your thoughts close in on the problem like ravenous wolves. Determined to make things go your way, your forget that [God is] in charge of your life. The only remedy is to switch your focus from the problem to [God’s] presence. Stop all your striving, and watch to see what [the Lord] will do.
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:31-32
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. Micah 7:7
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they prosper who love you! Peace be within your walls, and security within your towers!” Psalm 122:6
“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." Luke 6:27-28
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” John 13:7
